Greetings!

I'm about to purchase a new mac pro, and I need an LCD monitor to go with it. I am a filmmaker and primarily use my mac for video editing. Image editing is a rarity, but I color correct in Final Cut Pro. I'm also planning on installing windows xp via bootcamp and occasionally gaming.

I'm looking for an LCD around 24" and no more than $600. I'm weary about buying an apple display due to price and updates that may be on the horizon.

Cheers in advance everyone.:)

I would look at some Dell monitors. They are very versatile and quality for the price.

The Dell 24" doesn't use an S-IPS or AS-IPS LCD panel. Many Dell 20" models do, as do all of Dell's 30" models.

All of Apple's monitors use S-IPS panels. Generally, they're also quite good compared to the competition, including Dells.
