I am looking to purchase a new Mac for creating DVDs sometime around Christmas. I don't think upgradability is such a big deal, since I have firewire stuff already, and it works fine.

Using it to produce about one DVD every month of Home Videos, so Final Cut Express and iDVD or DVD Studio. I haven't tested either DVD software to find what works best for me yet.

Not playing Video Games, only importing video from my DV Camera.

Give me your best guess for what suits my needs based on the time I'm planning to buy. Thanks.

do you need portability? then PB is the way to go ... a 12 inch would probably suit fine.

if not, and you don't need to power of a G5 for you edits, your probably gonna get away with an iMac ....

just make sure you get it with a superdrive ... LOL
