Best Mac Video player / VLC jumpy

Hi there,

Is VLC the best media player for video files available for Mac? Its mainly .AVI files encoded in Xvid that i rip/download and watch.

I find that some files (particularly HD 720/1080) can be a bit jumpy... its not the files as they jump in different places everytime which leads me to believe that it is the application at fault.

Mac spec's in sig... dont think it will be due to lack of power, and i dont have any background processes hogging up resources.

You could try Movist. It's still in beta, but it's pretty good so far.

Plex and XBMC are among the best. The new XBMC release from a couple of days ago is very nice.
