I have a Late 2009 iMac 27" (upgraded everything):

2.8 i7
ATI Radeon HD 4850 512MB

that just seems to be getting slower as the days go on. Seeing the spinning beachball more and more these days.

I'm only a light gamer (mainly Blizzard games) but I think I'm interested in looking at Bootcamp & Windows (10?) for certain games (fighting games mostly - Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, etc.)

My iMac is so big on my desk, I wouldn't mind at all going down to the 21.5" iMac, but those specs don't look very good compared with the Macbook Pro or 27" iMac. (Being only integrated graphics)

Are there really noticeable differences in the graphics cards between these machines that someone who isn't looking for top of the line (Witcher 3, etc.) ultra graphics settings would notice?

15-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display
  • 2.5GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, Turbo Boost up to 3.7GHz
  • 16GB 1600MHz DDR3L SDRAM
  • 512GB PCIe-based Flash Storage
  • Intel Iris Pro Graphics + AMD Radeon R9 M370X with 2GB GDDR5 memory
  • Force Touch trackpad
  • Backlit Keyboard (English) & User's Guide
  • Accessory Kit
$2499

27-inch iMac with Retina 5K display
  • 3.3GHz quad-core Intel Core i5, Turbo Boost up to 3.9GHz
  • 8GB 1867MHz DDR3 SDRAM - two 4GB --> 16GB 1867MHz DDR3 SDRAM - two 8GB + $200
  • 2TB Fusion Drive --> 512GB Flash Storage + $200
  • AMD Radeon R9 M395 with 2GB video memory
  • Magic Mouse 2
  • Magic Keyboard (English) & User’s Guide
  • Accessory Kit
$2299 + $200 + $200 = $2699

Having spent approximately the same amount ($2700+) on this 2009 iMac, I'm not looking forward to spend that much again, even though it's still running 6 years later (after replacing the HD once & Graphics Card 3 times)

Any recommendations?
