I think you should get and incase cover, they're pretty sturdy and made with quality material.

I actually have the exact sleeve you linked to for my 13" MacBbok Pro. I put my MacBook in it and throw it into my satchel and I've never had a problem.

I travel everyday on a train to college. I would like to bring along my 15" Pro on some of those days.

What would you guys say is the best way to carry it? I don't like laptop bags. I'd rather slip it into my rucksack with my folders and iPad.

Would one of these provide enough protection? http://store.apple.com/uk/product/H5198ZM/A/Incase_Neoprene_Slim_Sleeve?fnode=MTY1NDA2Ng

Thanks for reading!
I would hope to think this will do you a good job.

Also will this fit the MBPs next year?

Thanks

Be sure to use a suitable cloth to cover they keyboard. You don't want key marks on your screen after the laptop gets compressed by books in your bag.

If you are to believe that the MBP's will be going through a redesign, then no, these cases will probably not fit next year's MBP's.

Really? Can this happen? I've never seen that before, but I've always been anal enough to keep the keyboard cover my MBP shipped with...and use it 100% of the time when I close the lid! I didn't realize they made actual third party covers...again, thinking I was the only one anal enough to be concerned. I do carry mine in a Targus bag with folders, files, an 11" Air, iPad and assorted peripherals...so it's a tight fit...but I've never actually seen anyone post that type of 'damage' if you will. Guess I'll take a look. Get a real cover...but then I'd be concerned about its effect on the screen! Lol. Vicious circle....

I seventh the Spec case option. I've got the transparent ones on all our mobile Macs. Have for three generations now...they're well made, well priced, and they definitely protect your laptop! With a Spec, you'd have no problem 'carefully' placing your Mac in your Ruck

Tons of threads on this already. Asked & answered many times over. Thanks for creating yet another to add to the mix.

I don't know if you live near local American Eagle store they sell Campus messenger bag it comes with 15 inches neoprene sleeve and also I ordered Speck See-Thru Clear hard case that fits neoprene sleeve perfectly.

I have a WaterField Laptop SleeveCase for mine, which I either put inside my rucksack or I can attach a strap to it and carry it on it's own. Expensive but very good quality and fit, and feels like it provides a lot of protection.
I third the WaterFiel Designs cases. They're fantastic. I have the Outback for my Retina and it's the best sleeve case on the market IMO. I also have the CitySlicker for when I'm carrying around more than just the laptop and it's great too.
