Best MacBook Pro Choice for Avid and Premiere Editing?

Can someone with good knowledge of film editing weigh in on best choice configuration to go with for editing films with Avid or Premiere?

8core/14core vs 10core/16core?

depending on the workload and the videos you deal with the choices could be different, what types of videos do you normally deal with and what type of performance are you looking for?

Avid isn't supported yet. Media Composer support Is supposed to come out for rosetta 2 in December and M1 native sometime in 1st quarter 2022 according to them. Hard to tell. I personally am keeping my backup iMac to deploy in case while I use the new MBP.

I mean if you are editing then what really matters is the GPU, so I would suggest the 16core GPU version.
