Hi All,

This is my first post here - I follow the website consistently and figured this would be the best place to find help with my current dilemma.

I really want/ need a new monitor set-up. Currently have an old Samsung 4k monitor (no PD, no daisy chaining, just 60hz, etc.)

And while I thought that the Studio Display would be the monitor to get, once I found out that it doesn't support daisy-chaining and that it is a standard 60 hz screen, kind of killed it for me.

So, my question is - does anyone know of a great monitor, with similar feature set to the Studio Display but that does support daisy chaining on Macs? A 120hz+ screen, or an OLED/QLED (something other than just one backlight) would be nice to haves but not necessary. Main thing I want is to be able to plug in one cable to charge the MBP, and provide the signal for both of the monitors.

The only thing that comes close is the LG Ultrafine 4k that Apple sells, and may end up just getting that, but was hoping to find something a bit better. Any recommendations?

Daisy chaining on Macs can be tricky...it basically only works for certain Thunderbolt displays that have multiple ports to support it. (macOS doesn't support MST, unlike Windows, which is needed for daisy chaining via DP.) An easier solution might be finding a dock to plug your monitors into. You'd still have one cable to plug into your Mac.

There is a similar thread here that has some good info.
