I dual boot my iMac but use the Mac side 70% of time and the Windows 30% for games. I need a keyboard that will work with both. My Corsair did not and had to sell it. Any recommendations?

I have an Unicomp Model M at home.

I have the Windows and Alt keys remapped in OS X (very easy to do in System Preferences) to be Alt and Command, respectively. I have a Dvorak version, a regular version, and a Mac version. The Dvorak version is hard keyed, so even if you change the keyboard in settings, the keymap is still the same. The Mac version has Mac shortcuts and the Command and Option keys are also hard keyed. You also get the volume, brightness, Mission Control, etc. shortcuts in the latter. Currently I am using the regular version to dual boot between Mac OS and Window.

In my opinion, the Model M is the best keyboard in the world, but it's loud. At home it's fine; it feels very assurance every time I type on it.

I also had one at the office, but people complained that it was too loud, so recently I picked up a Cherry MX-Board 3.0 with brown keys. I think the Cherry keyboard is quite good too. I miss the buckling spring action, but this one is definitely a lot quieter. Nobody complains about it and most people actually ask me where I got mine. However it seems not many people want to spend a lot of money on a quality keyboard (even if it's only like $50).

That's just too bad. Anyways both of these are good options. They don't have fancy features like macros or anything.

Happy gaming!
