I know about Quicktime (Perian) and VLC... :D

But I have diff kinda itch to scratch... I want to be able to size my movie player... THE WAY I WANT TO.... and not horizontally like these players....

In windows XP i was able to stretch/ Resize the VLC anyway I wanted ... so it wasnt over lapping other apps...

How can I resize the movie player the way I want to ... Please recommend a few... free or purchase....

*I usually play .flv/ .avi movies... So a player that doesnt do much.. but plays these 2 formats and RESIZES the way I want to... will be greatly appreciated :D

I use VLC and can change it the way I want to. If you double click the video it will go into full screen too.

Hah, ever since I stopped using windows a couple of years back, I never actually thought to search for VLC for mac..

Good stuff, because if I remember correctly, it just 'worked'

^ My name is Sean. Nice.

But I use Mplayerx from the App store. If you drag the corner, you can change the dimensions of the video.

I'm assuming you mean the aspect ratio though; mess around in the settings and change that. That's what you're looking for.

install VLC and MPlayerX.
Some videos cant run on VLC and can on MPlayerX.
Some cant run on MPlayerX and some can on VLC.

So just get both.

what won't play on vlc? i'm honestly asking because i've never heard of vlc not being able to play something.

Some have broken files.
I download videos online and then VLC claims its broken and unfixable.
Some files are broken that it cannot fast forward.

Then MPlayerX comes in handy.

I dont know why.... but... couple of post down the main topic.... the subject of the Post totally changes... lolxxxxxxxxxxx

VLC works ... for everything...Hurray !!!! lolxxx.. that was not even the point

I asked .... for a player.. that would let me... change its size.. so it will fit nicely with other apps im using ...like Firefox etc... We are multi-tasking all the time on our laptops....

Same here, Quicktime+Perian is all I'll ever need. Lion sort of ruined Perian a bit but it's still hanging in there for now :)
