There seems to be a few out, Sandisk iXpand/leef ibridge/etc but which is best?

I want a basic one to expand for movies/TV when travelling really.

I downloaded the iXpand and unbelievably it still isn't formatted correctly for the iPhone X.

Do they play videos (non iTunes I know) direct from the apps without stuttering. Does it have to be in the app itself or via iOS TV app?

Think I'd prefer something that doesn't stick out too much, don't understand the design of some where it sticks out loads, just waiting to be snapped off.

Would prefer USB 3 and MFi Apple certified. I bought a Vantec USB cable reader but it wouldn't work on iPhone X.

Looked on Apple store as would presume Apple have their favourites, but can just find the Sandisk connect WiFi one, which I don't want (have an older version of that)

Thanks

No personal experience, but I believe Leef has the best interface. You could also look at the ravpower filehub. VLC media player would be key to play ripped movies.

Best
