Best MKV Player for rMBP ?

Any Suggestions on a Good "FREE" Video Player for the Mac which can play MKV files like a charm

I use VLC but also sometimes convert MKV to MP4 using subler so I can play them in iTunes

It's a fanastic free media centre that plays all kinds of file formats and there's even an iPhone remote app for it so you can turn your Mac into a media centre with it.

It's the main reason I have an external drive 50 x the capacity of the SSD I boot from.

Yeah even I have these 2 in mind read an article on this but if I have to choose one between XBMC and MPLAYERX which one should I go for...I mean both are free so I can have them both but I wanna keep only one as my preferred player to play MKV files.
