I have SD25, everytime i use osx it clicks every now and then. using bootcamp (TPB win7 ultimate 64 bit) doesn't have noise, but when i return in OS X i hear it again..

what SD is reccomended?

I had SD24 on mine and recently updated to SD28 because I didn't realize they did frequesnt updates and don't really notice any changes in performance in normal tasks.

I had no problems with SD28 on my Momentus XT. SD28 was by far the best firmware, was marginally faster than the others, and none of the retarded spinning down or clicking.

The latest one obviously, the people who brought you SD25, aren't going to magically mess SD28 up.

I don't understand people who refuse to upgrade their firmware, usually they're the same ones who complain that a company doesn't support its product after release.

You should only upgrade the firmware if you have problems.

I had SD22 without problems, and bugged it up by installing SD23 just to be up to date.

i'm hearing clicking noises and i'll see if SD28 fixes it

strangely it happens only when i boot OS X, not win7

I read SD24 and SD25 can have file corruption issues.
So I guess it's better to upgrade from them even if you didn't notice anything wrong.

Used most of them and SD28 is the best so far, as others have also stated..
