Hi guys, I've a chance to buy the Huey Pro at 65€ including shipping. Do you think it's good deal?

In addition I've seen the SpyderCube for 39€, which seems a good tool to improve that calibration.

What do you think?, did you have any experience with the Huey Pro?, works well?

Thanks in advance,
Daniel.

At $70, the Spyder calibrator is one of the more affordable ones out there, and the reviews are very solid on it.

I've used all three a lot. Avoid the Huey Pro it was okay at the time (results did vary) but not worth getting now. The Spyder Elite is very good and we use one at my work place on all the Macs.

However I've just replaced my (own) Huey Pro with the ColorMunki Display and I'm very pleased with the purchase. I've calibrated several screens with it now (including my old Macbook screen which even the Spyder struggled to get right) and find it offers great ease of use and great results.

I shopped around for the best price and saved a few quid from the list price. I got it from Park Cameras (down near Brighton) in the end as they were doing a trade in at the time for any old calibrator as well.

Edit: Ha! Just realised I had written one of the Amazon reviews. I'll let you guess which one (hint: it seems I wrote pretty much the same as I did on here). Also, as others have said, support for the Huey Pro is discontinued - they hadn't updated the software for ages to include support for new Mac OSes.

Avoid anything discontinued. I have used the Spyder for years with great results (my screen matches perfectly with my pre-press proofs for printing). Shop around to get the best price, I think I got mine off Amazon with a pretty good discount off the list price...
Cheers,
Michael
