Best monitor for text?

I need an external monitor, 20-22 inches widescreen, for my white Macbook. I write a lot; the text has to be super sharp. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I plan to spend around $200-250.

I bought a HP w2338h which is amazing. It costs 250, is 23 inches, does full HD 1080p, however, it is glossy but as a student I type a lot and it hasn't bothered me. I give it a 5/5, and I believe it would suit your needs very well!

I have a dell S2009W which seems to get the job done. 20" 16:9 ratio, Gives you a little extra width in the monitor which is good for having multiple files opened side-by-side and whatnot. It is a matte display and runs at a native resolution of 1600x900, which is really great in comparison to the 1280x800 on the Macbook. haha.
