In same form as iPad, i would say yes although there are some issue with display and bend :D

Z3 Tablet Compact is really good, waterproof, battery life, well designed...

In a way, yes since its only one with same screen ratio as iPad
But if you live in Asia, there are better alternatives
Xiaomi Mi-Pad, cheaper, better design (colored and iPad looking)
Nokia N1 (even more iPad looking), it will be released on Feb 2015
If you spoke about whole Android tablet, Nexus doesnt belong to be among the best Android tablet

- Xperia Z2 Tablet

- Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact

- Samsung Galaxy Tab S

- Samsung Galaxy Note Pro

- Samsung Galaxy Note

Top 5 of best Android
LG G Pad, Nvidia Shield might deserve to be in that list either.

Most popular or best ? The two aren't necessarily mutually inclusive. I imagine Samsung sells more of its Galaxy tabs than Google the nexus tbh.

My wife has a Nexus 7 and I have a Transformer I like my transformer because of the keyboard so to me it's the best. My wife likes her Nexus 7 because she can hold in one hand and use it in the car so it's the best.

What is best for you?

Nexus cheaper but s tab I say are better options

Note 12.2 is my favourite though bit saying that I'm a note guy

I'll chip in and say my Sony Xperia Z2 is awesome. Thin, light, expandable storage, modest skin from Sony, and great value for money.

It really depends if you are going to be taking notes on your tablet.

If you are I would recommend the Galaxy Note 8 or 10. You can't beat the active stylus.

If you are using largely for consumption, I haven't tried the Nexus 9. However, the Nexus 7 2013 is the best bang for your buck. Awesome screen, pure Android and fast.

7" is too small these days IMO.

Between my iPad mini 2 and my Samsung Tab S (the smaller version) I really like the Tab better, colors are sharp and video is AMAZING. It is also lighter than my iPad mini 2 and now I can play Hearthstone on it! Win Win!!

That's a tough question, I'd say based on market presence, the Galaxy tab, but I like the Nexus more then the Galaxy.

Hearthstone was finally release on Android?

Galaxy Tab S 8.4 for best display.

Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 for best bang for the buck.

Yes indeedy and it is excellent! I can run sync 3.0 on my tablet while playing the game and if I get a call it pops up in game without ruining any smoothness or causing it to stutter. Only on tablets that have kit kat and are at least 8" in size though.

Is it still the nexus series? As in the Nexus 9 would be the best choice?

For YOU then yes it is, because you have a Nexus 7, so the Nexus 9 is a great upgrade for you, but the Nexus 9 is also very powerful. But as a Nexus it doesn't have expandable memory.
The ratio is the same as the iPad, and it has Lollipop of course and I believe the 64 bit version as the CPU is 64 bit?

I have also read that HTC have resolved the build problems they had with it, like the buttons.
