A couple of friends and I have to make a video project. We were thinking that maybe one of us can bring our iPad to school so we can edit the video on the spot. I already have iMovie but unfortunately it seems like it doesn't have a lot of features we need. We want to be a able to split audio files and add some special effects, like the old timey effect. Is there an editor like that exists? Any advice is appreciated.

Avid

Hi, I brought my iPad for the movie making and it came with iMovies as i brought it from a grey import shop. Today i brought Avid Studio and this should be the one you are looking for.

Avid is definitely cool. It also matters whether you have an additional set up you need to play nicely with. If you have a full Avid rig then obviously the app makes a better companion than does iMovie.
