Best NAS device

Hi all, looking for a nas device, so i can connect and view all my video/audio and photos when in away from home on my ipad and iphone.
1gb should be enough but looking for a nas device that will be fast (as my current dropbox set up), and would have a good ios app that will allow me to view all my docs and photos/videos

Personally, I wouldn't go with anything other than Synology or QNAP.

Both have NAS arrays to suit all budgets.
