Hi all,
I'm going to have a new iMac arriving soon, and I want to think about possibly implementing a central network solution for backing up both of my Macs. I would get a Time Capsule except that I just recently got an expensive Netgear dual band router.
I wouldn't mind having one that will do RAID 1 for additional security. The one I've seen is the WD Mybook World Edition (2 or 4 TB) which has two drives and uses RAID 1. However, I've seen complaints about it being slow despite using Gigabit Ethernet.
So basically what I'm looking for is a drive with:
1. 2 or 4 TB in two disks
2. RAID 1
3. Gigabit ethernet or possibly wireless N.
What I DON'T want is a server; I just want a drive that attaches to the network.
Thanks!
