I know I may get 50 answers here but...

I add photos and music all the time and now I have 3 externals with
Sept06
Oct05
Aug05 etc.... tons of duplicates

Is there a beter way?
One that only backs up new stuff? Automatically?

Thanks!

SuperDuper! using the schedular and smart backup. I use the erase then copy except it only updates what Ive changed that day. I run it at like 3 in the morning and never have any problems.

Yeah, I forgot about time machine. Hopefully it works easily and auto.
Thanks! I'll check out those other two also for the mean time. =)

I just switched from a pc, and when I was over there I used a DOS program to do backups. I am serious. It was the best way. I just tell it to copy all the files that have changed in the time i specify. Works better than anything else I've tried. Now I'm just holding out for time machine.

If you are comfortable using the command line, use rsync.

Type man rsync in Terminal for instructions.
