best notebook hard drive for 1tb upgrade?

hey guys,

i was wondering if anyone knew what brand/model hard drive apple offers for its 1tb notebook hard drive option on its store website? i wasn't to upgrade my laptop to 1tb from 500, and i don't want to get one that has a bad reputation of breaking... is upgrading to this size okay as far as being reliable? i would prefer battery life over speed, and i would also lie to maintain the shock protection feature that i have on my current 500.

thanks boom, are you referring to the wd10jpvt/wd10tpvt? if so which one do you think is better? I know that the TPVT model is 12.5 mm (I think?) And the JPVT is thinner/newer? Which one would fit in an early 2011 15" MacBook Pro?
