i am looking for a word processer, spreadsheet and presentation program.

What are the best ones for the least ammount of money?

I am trying NeoOffice once it downloads but do you know of any better ones?

I think hands down Microsoft Office is the best office suite on the mac. If you are a student or a teacher you can get an Educational version of it for a very reasonable price.

Other word processors to look at:

http://www.abisource.com/ Abiword (wordprocessor only I believe)

http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/ Openoffice. I know you have NeoOffice installed, but OOo may be something to look into as well because as I recall NeoOffice was pretty slow as it used java for the GUI, but OOo used X11 which is snappier.

NeoOffice all the way, especially if you're on an Intel Mac where M$'s Office isn't native yet. So far it's worked 100% fine with all my Excel and Word files (OpenOffice, that is).

I'm using pages right now (no spread sheet tho) but pan to switch back to Office after it goes Universal.

openoffice is faster than MS office right now on Intel Mac,
MS Office's education discount can go as low as $75
