I own a M1 Mac plugged to a 27 inch 1440p 144hz monitor. I do office work (emails, browsing, some excel work) and I like to game on GeForce Now (I am actually doing decent on CS GO :) )

I currently own 3 mice:

  • Magic Mouse (too low profile for me and tracking accuracy sucks especially when moving the mouse diagonally. I like the smart zoom and horizontal scrolling gestures.)
  • MX Master 3S (I love the silent clicks and short travel but I think it’s a bit too heavy and scrolling is not nice on Mac. Also the side buttons are too hard to press to my taste. I also don’t like the scroll wheel especially when I scroll a bit too quick. It’s a decent mouse besides that)
  • Asus Cerberus (I love this mouse. It’s the cheapest mouse I have, and when I use it I’m just super efficient both for office and gaming purposes. It scrolls well, very accurate tracking and the mouse is super lightweight). The only downside is that it is wired and that there is no horizontal scroll which is not practical when browsing or doing spreadsheet work.
Should I replace all my mice and buy a gaming mouse and use it for both gaming and office work purposes? What would you recommend?

If you serious you should get a mouse with the side buttons especially of more complex games! IMHO gaming gear is ripoff of what a user actually gets!
Thanks! I really like the two side buttons on mice. I don’t really need more but maybe one or two more would be helpful (especially to zoom in)

No I meant the two extra mutton beside the two usual buttons on side of mouse!
Oh I see! Yeah it would be nice but honestly not a huge deal to me against input lag, trackability and scrolling smoothness
