I have the apple keyboard for the iPad Pro. It's great but I really want to be able to prop my iPad up to watch movies. I guess to avoid having the keyboard in the way I also need to buy the regular iPad smart cover? Anyone come up with a better solution?

If you do a search for "iPad stand" on amazon you'll find a bunch of options.

I'm also in the market for one.

You can probably make a stand out of almost anything as long as the surface the iPad is sitting on provides enough grip.

How about a paper clip, a red pen and a soft boiled egg?

LOL, I am doing a easier version of that by making a stand with pillows at the moment. But want to find a more long term solution. I think if I have to go buy another case, I'll just buy the apple smart case. But man, I've bought all the cases that apple provides at that point..... Oh well, Apple should have combined the keyboard and smart case into one so they would both function (meaning you could hide the keyboard and just have a stand).

Sigh, modern day middle class issues.....

And just purchased. :)

Why don’t you use the apple Smart Keyboard like this? (Took the picture from a random website: http://www.momparticle.com/smart-keyboard-ipad-pro/)

just use your apple keyboard.

You can prop it up by moving the keyboard bit to the back of the device. works perfectly.

Does it work well with the 12.9" iPP? Looks nice and at that price it would be hard to beat.

Couldn't be sure. I don't own a 12.9 but in landscape it should be able to hold the weight just fine. Why not just order one off amazon and if it doesn't work for you then just return.

Another happy Anker stand owner ... have 4 in the household.

Just ordered one from Amazon. If it doesn't work with the 12.9 I can still use it with my iPad 4

Probably the height - weight ratio doesn't work for such a huge and flat device. Yeah anything within the range of 9.7 or even 10.5 should be fine. I use it for both my iPad and iPhone.

If you have the money... www.yohann.com really nice, works on a desk, but also good on a bed/blanket. I love mine 12.9 and preordered a 10.5
