Greetings, I looking for advice from mac community about OS upgrade.
I use computer mainly for family photo/video editing and currently have MacOS Sierra. It works well for me, but I consider try some light programming using Xamarin that requires minimum High Sierra.
When High Sierra was released I heard it was not perfect update and it's better to wait for some updates, so I waited some time.
As for Sept. 2018 does High Sierra have some drawbacks vs Sierra? Any issues with APFS? Data loss, data recovery issues? Performance issues?
My laptop is not retina (but it is hiRes model). Should I consider Mojave instead? Or text will be less readable than on Sierra/High Sierra?
I consider upgrade only if newer OS performance/stability is not worse than Sierra. New features is not a main upgrade reason for me, but nice to have if they really work well.
Thank you for advice.
