I'm looking for an "outdoorsy", meaning robust and not overly hip looking, as well as comfortable to carry (wide strap) messenger bag for my RMBP and mirrorless camera, as well as some other stuff (coffee mug, small notebook, chargers, wallet, etc). Can anybody recommend bags by Patagonia, Mammut, or other brands?

Ethical production practices would also be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

I use the regular sized one for my 13in MBP and I'm able to throw my Sony NEX-6 along with a few lenses and some other items in there with room to spare.

Patagonia, Mammut and not hipster. Yeah, that's happening.

If you want a messenger bag buy what the messengers use which is usually Chrome. Sounds like you want a fashion statement with a side of treehugger.
