Hey guys. So I was just wondering...all of the notetaking apps for ipad have a bullet outline feature...but when you click "enter" to go to the next line (this is with a keyboard attached to ipad)...you can't go to a previous level of bullets.

If you've used Mac's microsoft office notebook layout, you'll know what I'm talking about - backspace takes you back a bullet level, but doesn't stop the bulleting format from happening. I can't find an app that does this in the app store, and I love taking notes with bullets/outlines. Even the best apps seem to have to manually reset the bullet level.

Any ideas of an app that doesn't do this?

It's much more expensive than most apps but OmniOutliner is a pretty powerful outlining app. It can even do multiple columns.

Hi,

MagicalPad is good but becomes sluggish if your outline is too big, plus import/export features are lacking IMO. But it's a very good app despite its toy-like look.

I loved OmniOutliner on the Mac, but I feel that the iPad port is a bit lacking because it's just a copy of the Mac app, not really designed for the iPad, but it's very powerful.

ThinkBook may be the most interesting outlining app that I've tried, and it's pretty cheap too I think. It has some very powerful features though not as versatile as OmniOutliner. Its main weakness IMO is the "slider" thingie that is used to manage copy, paste and move. I find it very confusing and would have preferred drag and drop as in MagicalPad.
