Out of these two drives, what one would be the most compatible with the 2011 13" MBP 2.3GHz i5? The price between the two is only like $10 but the performance is almost twice. Would I have any problems with the 6G? Or is one more supported / stable than the other?

Go with the 6g. The 13" reports no problems with 6g either in main OR optical bay. I would pony up the extra $ for the Extreme version however personally.

Thanks... Ya the price was not a concern at all.

I just don't want to have any issues and wasn't sure if there were any incompatibility or stability issues with either one.

I will be running OS X Lion and Fusion 4 with Windows 7 if that changes anything.

Only in that no 6G in optical bay on the 15".

I own the OWC Extreme 480 model in the new 2011 MBP. No troubles that I can detect.

I have the 480GB OWC Mercury Extreme Pro 6G in a 2011 15" MacBook Pro. It's super fast and stable. I've had similar luck with OCZ Vertex 3 Max IOPs SSDs. One 2011 Mac Mini was stable even at firmware 2.08. If you go the OCZ route I recommend a firmware at or greater than 2.09.

The 17" MacBook Pro is the problematic model.

Good to hear. We OWC users have to stick together. I'm hoping with all these new firmware updates that all will be well. Love the drive so far.
