A love a lot of those movies listed, and there are some I have never see nor heard of.

There is a lesser known movie that is pretty patriotic, called Taking Chance.

It is about a US Marine that has been killed in action, and mostly what occurs after the fact. A lot of people don't know what really happens when a US service member is killed besides bringing them home, but a lot of care if given to them and their personal effects.

For example, the service member's body and personal effects are taken to a facility in dover. The body is completely cleaned, head to toe. The personal effects are inventoried, cleaned, and displayed in a footlocker in presentation fashion and given to the family.

What happens after Dover varies slightly between services, but in the movie it is from a USMC point of view, and Kevin Bacon's character is escorting the deceased marine back to his family.

Taking Chance is pretty sad as well, and while it is based on a true story, unlike many other movies based on a true story, it is very accurate in what occurs in real life with a fallen US service member and has not been hollywoodized.

It is worth viewing at least once.

Darn! Forgot about that one. I've watched at at least 3 times, and yes, it is a well done, true story.

Regarding the list, my two favorites are "Glory" and "Miracle". Both are well, well done. The one I want to see is Argo. I've read good things about it, and it will be interesting to see Ben Affleck in it.
