Hey guys,

I just bought a macbook pro and got an ipod touch but i decided to sell it. Where is the best place/method to sell my iPod touch? I've had never really sold anything online before so I would apreciate the help. Opening a new eBay account would be pretty tough because there are alot of sellers and I'm new. Or if anyone is interested in buying it you can contact me thx.*

FYI I wouldn't worry about the number of other sellers on eBay...remember there are lots of other buyers, too ;) I use eBay maybe a couple of times a year, mostly as a buyer, and I had no trouble selling my Touch a few months ago.

I'd go for craigslist. I've sold a lot of stuff on there. If you're worried meet someplace public and perhaps bring a friend along. It's a cash with no fees!

That's usually what I do... CL, I always take a friend.....just make sure your friend is bigger than their friend lol.

depending on the size of memory, id probably say craigslist is your best bet, if your just opening your ebay account with 0 feedback then itll go for a lot less, because few people are going to trust you. for example i saw a brand new ipod touch, 3rd gen, 32gb, go for under $200 because the guy had zero feedback, ebay would probably be easiest though, but it all depends on the model and how much your wanting:D

Go on ebay or Craigslist. Whatever you do, when you post the product, make sure you show many pictures. Like 8-12 pictures.

Hey Gameaholic, definetly Craigslist, you said you havent opened an ebay account yet, have you:confused:. But it all depends on what you want for them, bad feedback or no feedback means a lot lower price.

I've had good luck selling stuff on Amazon. I sold a lot of used dvd's here.

If you go to the link for the product (assuming this is the one you have):

http://www.amazon.com/Apple-Generat...3?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1276533821&sr=8-3

On the right side at the bottom of the box that says "More Buying Choices" there's a box that says "Sell Yours Here." If you click you can create a listing and set your price. I've sold stuff pretty fast by setting a price at the bottom of the range....If you have the cheapest "new" one, it should go pretty quickly. Amazon takes a cut of the price but also gives you $4.99 to ship it. Might not get you the highest price, but a very hassle free way to sell stuff (at least you know what you will get...not subject to auction). They will then direct deposit the money to your bank account....you give them your details the first time you sell something.

concern about iPod selling site

after hyper-linking to iPod selling site mentioned - my app WOT warned me against it... just be cautious - Amazon would be your best bet.
I have 4th generation 6.8 GB Version 4.2.1 I've never used - it was purchased for my son away in college who told me that he has iPhone - macs and iPods /enough....- and since I also have macpro 17" - iPhone and iPod ... and waited to return this..... I am listing on Amazon..
.. $90 is not a very good price if you have never used it and it is still in it's original box. I sold Apple for credits a Macbook 13" for $85 .... but it was 2008 and not in the best of shape.... Apple is not reselling iPods?
