I have a Duo charger coming, and I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for a good compact charger that would power the Duo Charger at full speed plus possibly a couple other USB-C or USB-A devices (e.g. iPad). Any thoughts would be great!

I'm also thinking that an alternative is to just plug it into my MacBook Pro, which I think probably would charge at full speed if plugged into the OEM 87W charger. It would be ideal to not have to just rely on that when (someday) traveling though. Thanks!

Interesting username... I went to college in the mid-late 90s with a guy named Schalliol.

Anyway, I love GaN chargers due to their high power and small footprint. I use one for travel by Baseus. https://smile.amazon.com/Charger-Ba...5&sr=1-1-5e875a02-02b1-4426-9916-8a5c26cd5a14

This little guy powers my 16 inch macbook pro + a phone + a small usb-a device. Perfect for travel. Of course since it is only 65W max (or 45W when charging other things), your laptop will stay powered while charging slowly... but for me that is fine.

There are also many 100+ W GaN chargers out there now. I also have this: https://smile.amazon.com/Charger-Ba...d=1&keywords=baseus+gan&qid=1607455461&sr=8-4

But that one isn't much smaller than the OEM 96W macbook charger so I don't travel with it.

HyperJuice makes a 200w model as well which is of a similar size to the second one I linked.

These are super helpful! It’s amazing how quickly these kinds of adapters improve in a year’s time. I wonder about the reliability of these kinds of hardware. Do you have long-term experience? I saw someone complaining about noise on the higher power versions of these linked, and it was unclear if it was an isolated incident or a common one.

I just picked this one up for travel. Has 2 usbc and 2 USBa.

USB C Charger, RAVPower 65W 4-Port Desktop USB Charging Station with 2 USB C Ports + 2 USB A Ports for MacBook Pro/Air, Dell XPS 13, iPad Pro, iPhone 12 Mini Pro Max, Nintendo Switch, Galaxy and More https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08DFKZ7BC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_qwd0FbYN9DZ7F?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I've got that one taped to the side of my home office desk. Works great and confirm it works well w/ the Duo charger. It was the one I used in the little youtube video I posted to power the duo. It was also charging a work PC I have at the time.

The advent of GaN chargers has been great for travelers. I started packing a MuOne for travel about 1.5 years ago (when we could still travel) and loved that tiny little 45w charger. Took it to UK, India, Germany and a few other countries on work trips and always had a great experience...especially with the swappable plug heads. I since moved to that Baseus I mentioned for more ports. I have noticed some coil whine on some USB-C chargers but not enough to be an issue in a hotel room certainly...perhaps a super-quiet environment someplace.
