Hi guys
I have been creating disk images for my business (Design agency) recently and I am wondering if there is a best practice for doing this.
I have been recreating a load of old disk images that we had for our designer Macs. So I have been installing OS X Yosemite onto an external HD and then booting from that and then creating all of the necessary user accounts, installing all the right applications and setting the correct preferences. Once I have completed the creation I will then boot from my mac, delete ByHost preferences (of the drive to disk imaged) and create a disk image with Disk Utility.
This seems to work great however we have had some issues in the past with Macs that we can't diagnose but the only thing we could narrow it down to is something in the disk image. Is this something to do wirth the way that we create are disk images or is this a separate matter?
Back to the original question, am I creating disk images in the best way possible or is there a better more efficient way of creating disk images
Thanks
Miles K
