How much should an iPhone 3G 8gb with original packaging, usb/wall charger, and Seidio Innocase II with OS 4.0 installed go for?

Is $250 too high? The phone has light scratches on the back, no scratches on the glass. The case is in perfect condition, no signs of wear.

What would a good title be to grab people attention away from the other 100's of craigslist ads?

$250 sounds about right to me. I just sold my 3GS 32GB for $450 in excellent condition.

Tips: Be concise. List any scratches. Have good pictures. Do your homework and see what similar iPhones are selling for in your area.

Seems like it's going to be difficult to sell. There are so many other 3G owners selling theres and I've had mine up all day with great pics and complete description. No emails :(

Try again at the start of the weekend. Usually more people out there searching then.

Thanks for the tip. Do you suggest putting your real email address in the ad or just let the reply to the "reply123123@craigslist address they give the buyer?

Oh man, definitely go with the anonymous address, not your email address, unless you enjoy spam. I wouldn't put my phone number in either.

My procedure was: show the iPhone to the buyer, get the cash, wipe the iPhone (from the Settings menus), pop out the SIM card, and hand over the iPhone.

Damn, I forgot you have the 3G. I had the 3GS, where wiping was a lot faster thanks to the on-board encryption chip. Not sure what to tell you then, but I'm sure you can find the answer out there.

When I sold 3 of my iPhone 2G's I had the connect to iTunes screen on them... lol

Nobody seemed to mind.

If you take it to a nearby AT&T store, they will gladly wipe it clean for you.. It takes them a lot less time then it would take you on iTunes.

EBAY !!!!

Those selling on craigslist are gonna have a tough time... throw it on Ebay for around 230-250 and it will be gone in a day!

The past two years I have unloaded mine on Craigslist Los Angeles and they sold within hours. They send them to Israel and Thailand from here. I could have easily sold it 10 times over.

Yep it sure is nice living in Los Angeles, when put up a fake listing for a unlocked 16gb 3g for 350 just to see how many replies I would get, I easily got over 200 in 2 days. Ill be selling my 3GS on criagslist for 400 as soon as I find my sisters old damn razr to use until the 24th.
