I'm about to purchase a 2.4ghz 15" with high res anti glare. I heard that Macmall and Amazon are usually cheaper since they don't charge tax. However, I am in california and on their websites it says that they charge tax in california despite the fact that the tax estimate says $0. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this or should I just get it at the apple store?
Thanks

It's better to get BTO machines from Apple. Third parties charge you heavily for upgrades. If you are a student or "a student" or work for a company with and EPP discount it pretty much takes care of tax and a little bit more(at least in my state(missouri).

How do you use Bing cashback? Are Buy-it-Now purchases eligible?

Bing's Cashback program is shutting down TODAY (June 30th) at 9 PM PST. Something to keep in mind if you want to use it.

[edit:] My mistake, it's July 30th. Whoops. ;o

Yep.

Basically, do a search on Bing. Pull up eBay through the sponsored link at the top. There will be a small Bing Cashback image on the top of the eBay page. To get the cashback, you must use Buy-It-Now and PayPal.

Hope this helps! :)

IT will come back. It's the only reason why I (and I'm sure many others) use them. Didn't they suspend cashback once before?

I was reading a news article on this just yesterday and it reported that very few people were actually using it.

Yep, that's why they're stopping it. They've said they have some other ideas to help sellers and retailers, but they haven't shared any details that I've seen yet.

They need(ed) to promote it more.

Yep, they definitely should have. A lot of people are/were intimidated or confused by it. It's an excellent thing!

it hasn't been suspended before

It was at one time suspended for eBay for around a month I believe. It upset a lot of sellers...
