Ive been given the go ahead to get a printer for my office and need some help from you guys.

I work with blueprints that need to be printed off on 11" x 17" in pretty high volume. Speed would be my #1 request with quality coming in at a solid #2.

That being said, I know NOTHING about printers.... Lets set the budget under $600, bonus points for being as far under $600 as possible.

Help!

So $600 budget limit, "high volume", and 11x17 size. Is color printing required or is B&W enough? If color is needed is color accuracy critical? Most color lasers will do a good enough job or the average office print job. High accuracy color print jobs...and high volume print volumes can be a serious conflict in rerquirements.

Sorry I should have specified.

Zero color printing required. Only black and white.

Emphasis on speed, quality isn't as important as long as I can read the words and numbers being called out.
