I would really love to hear some opinions here. I am looking for a really high-volume production scanner where I can stack over 100 sheets fo paper at a time for document scanning. We have three Fujitsu ix500s in the office and we are way past them in terms of volume need. Anyone have a recommendation on a good production scanner? Thank you in advance.

Hi @iansilv, was wondering if you figured out a good solution?

I also have a Fujitsu ix500, which is OK but not as fast or as good at paper handling as an old Kodak scanner that I used to have on a PC (unfortunately, it’s not supported on Mac, even by Vuescan). So I’ve been thinking about alternatives.

Fujitsu has a newer model out, but it’s not much faster than the ix500, just seems to have more bells and whistles.

Kodak doesn’t support Mac very well any more, same with Epson and Canon.

Brother seems to be one of the remaining that advertises on-going native OSX support. I have one of Brother’s all-in-one printer/fax/flatbed scanners, and I wasn’t very impressed with the scanning experience. It produced PDF files that were significantly larger than my Kodak on PC or the Fujitsu on Mac.

Brother has a line of high speed document scanners though, so I’ve been wondering if one of those might work well.

Anyone have other suggestions? Thanks!
