Hey folks, can anyone recommend a free and simple piece of software or app suitable for editing MP3s, like cutting them in half or editing length?

Cheers

If it has to be free, then try either Audacity or Ardour - they're both Open Source and available in versions for OS X.

For editing lengths of songs and start and stop points, there's a little known app called iTunes that can do that for you :)

From memory just right click on the song, and edit the details like you would when adding artwork etc

Sorry I'm on the iPad now, can't quite remember the exact details..
