I've heard the otterbox defender scratches the screen (from a post on here). Is this a fact? Will removing the screen from the phone stop that from happening? I'll take any and all advice on which protective case I should get--I got the iPhone 6 for my father and he is clumsy lol. Thanks!

I just picked up my new iPhone 6 and was set on the otter(what I used on my HTC one), but went with the Thule and glass screen protector. I would check out Thule and the ballistic brand.

I am using a Caseology slim dual protective case on my 6. I also have a Diztronic tpu which I highly recommend. You need a slim protective case on the phone for one handed use.

I noticed a bunch of Thule cases at the store today. Wasnt sure if they're good or not, thanks for the tip!

No scratches after 30 days of use. Even with some negative reviews, it's the best, most rugged protection out there.
