I love the iPhone 6 (regular sized)–big upgrade from the 5. But while I had my 5 I never managed to break it, whereas I have dropped the 6 lightly a few times and it has cracked both times, the glass completely shattered.

Within a few months, I'll be on my "last" phone through Apple Care plus. I have a huge protective case, but it's too bulky for my pockets. What cases do you recommend (minimalist design) to protect the phone? If it breaks I'm potentially out $600+ next time, so...

Really depends on what you think is thin. I have the following for my 6s plus

Spigen Slim Armor
Otterbox Symmetry
Thule Atmos x3
Speck Candyshell Grip

All are great options.

Just looking for something protective and thin enough it can fit in my jeans. Any information regarding what's most protective without being absurdly thick? I've had the phone shatter twice in the course of a month or two dropping it a few feet onto the concrete. It is far far more fragile than the 5/s.

All those I listed are good options. I find the slim armor to be the most professional option that I can use every day at work.

I have the "tech 21" evo mesh on my ip6 and it's nice and thin and is protective for 6' drops. I will prob go the tech 21 route again with my 7. Wife has an otterbox and it was junk from the start..
