Best racing game for DS

As the title says....What's the best (non-Mario Kart) racing game for the DS?

I want something fun, semi-realistic, and something easy enough that I can do a few races while on the train to work.

I already have Mario Kart DS and have gotten bored with it. I want a game that is just racing. No 'weapons'. I hate losing a race because I get hit with a blue shell just before I cross the finish line.

I don't think there are many. One of the reasons I'm getting a PSP is for the abundance of arcade and sim racers. The only other racer I've played on the DS has been Cocoto Racers and DK, but they're more like a washed down MKDS.

I had Ridge Racer on the DS. It was fun, not as much fun as Mario Kart DS though.

You must learn the ways of the shortcuts in MK DS and anticipate the other player's EVIL actions.

Yes, Ridge Racer is good. But not the best .
