Best / reliable hard drive 2-4tb for Mac?

Can anyone recommend a good reliable hard drive to store mainly video files.

Whenever I look at amazon there are hard drives with high ratings but when you look at the most recent reviews a lot are 1-3 starred ratings siting reliability issues. Are hard drives becoming less reliable?
