During my brief time with Windows 8, I fell in love with OneNote 2013, so much so that I believe it would be worth the price of admission for the whole Office Student bundle. I ended up subscribing to Office 365 (with university pricing, which is an absolute steal), and I know that OneNote currently is not available for Mac OS X. While I'm waiting for Outline to update with an editor, is there anything I can use in the mean time as a good replacement? Thanks!

I really like Evernote as well as Circus Ponies Notebooks, I've written a bit about them here

http://macademise.wordpress.com/201...ies-notebooks-versus-evernote/comment-page-1/

These days I mostly use Evernote due to the cross platform sync to windows and android, and I also prefer how it displays my notes when searching and how I can easily organise notes by tags. But CPN is also a brilliant app with a very powerful multidex.

Like a poster above, I also find OmniOutliner excellent for note taking when I'm working on long and complex documents, but the lack of sync with iPad annoys me. It's supposed to be in the works, but it's been in the works for a really looong time...

Mac Journal is my current choice

Mac Journal has all the functionality of the 2003 OneNote that I used to use except that it does scan for errors and then delete the records involuntarily like ONeNote did on me. I preferred the organization of ONENOTE ver MacJournal and would be tempted to buy it if it wasn't so ridiculously expensive from Microsoft. They have Mac versions you now....
