Best Router

I have a 3 year old Time Capsule and am, with exception to it's short range, pretty happy with it.

Now I need to buy a router for another house and am wondering which one you think is the best?

I have several wifi devices: doorbell, cameras, security system etc. My location is 3 story with the current router in the basement. It gets to all levels but I am getting a lot of 'disconnects' and pauses.

For reliability and stability sake I would recommend the Apple AirPort Extreme which can be had for $129 as an Apple refurbished unit. For top benchmarks look at the ASUS models.
