Hello people,

wondering what the best method for viewing rss feeds in firefox was....

I have been happy using safari's rss feed reader, where i can view by date and by newness... etc... is there a way to do so in firefox?

thanks,
r.

Umm... as far as I know Firefox only lets you view RSS feeds as "Live Bookmarks", and doesn't let you sort them by newness or other such criteria.

However, I suggest looking here for an extension that provides what you want. I'm sure that one exists.

If you're following more than a few RSS feeds, I'm a big proponent of using a standalone reader such as NewsFire (the one I use) as they give you much more freedom and flexibility as far as sorting a grouping goes.

If you're looking for something free, I recommend either Vienna or NetNewsWire Lite.

Thanks for the response...

all these feeders, Sage, google, none of them seem to allow me to view all my feeds in one window, in a way that safari did... where i could see all my feeds in chronological order....

or am i missing something?

thanks,
r.

Try the "All Items" choice in Google Reader...

Then you can move up and down using space bar / shift-space bar, and the stories gets marked as read as you scroll by them...

I like this...

i appologize for being inept...

I only see two articles when i select "all items"

u might want to try another extension called "newsfox".

remember, there will always be difference between two browsers, its always hard to find exactly same stuff. try use firefox's stuff in firefox's way, as long as it does the same work, looks isn't important, IMHO
