I have Mail (of course) and just got Office 2008 with Entourage. Frankly, I shocked that Entourage can't do RSS! (It's XP cousin, Exchange 2007 can).

So... I am back to looking for a good RSS reader. Mail is okay but it isn't great. Any ideas?

I may end up using Google or Yahoo.com just because I can integrate RSS feeds into a personalized home page.

I use Net News Wire because it lets me sync feeds between different machine, and it has a nice interface for the iPhone (or any other mobile device)

Hands down it's NetNewsWire. I paid $30 for it last year and thought it was a good deal. It's now free so you definitely can't hurt by trying it out. It syncs with the online version Newsgator Online and they also have an iPhone reader.

A guy at work was using Mail.app in Leopard to manage his RSS and I kept telling him to try NNW. After it became free he tried it and said, "I can't believe I didn't listen to you sooner". It's in my top 5 for favorite applications.

I use RSS Menu, it puts all your RSS feeds straight into your menu bar, great little app!

I use FireFox as my browser and just added Wizz RSS and I am really enjoying this add-on. I have looked at the other readers that were mentioned in this thread and they all look nice. My thinking is that I am always in FireFox, why open another application?

Because they generally have betetr features. I was a fan of Vienna but switched to NetNewsWire after it became free. Before that, when I was on a PC, I used Firefox but I wouldn't go back now.

Another vote for NetNewsWire. I use the shareware version, but even the freeware version is quite good.

I second the Google Reader vote. I used to use an app way back in the day but I use more than one computer (mac is at home, pc at work, etc) and it's a lot better than being tied to an app on one computer. Plus Google stores a nice backlog of posts which can come in handy sometimes.
