Best Screens on Late 2008 17" MBP

Hi everyone,
My new late '08 17" MBP is shipping shortly, and was just wondering, since I know the screens vary, which model of LCD panels are the best, and how I can figure out what kind mine is.

I don't think there is a simple answer to this. There are only two that have been reported so far, 9c84 (LG) and 9c85 (Chi Mei). I have two machines with one of each. There are both excellent and with calibration hard to tell apart. However there are people here who claim the 9c84 is better and those who claim the 9c85 is better.

As long as you don't get a defective one, either should be able to make you happy.

Thanks for the response. I guess no matter which screen I get then, I'll let my own eyes be the judge of whether or not it meets the grade.
