I am wanting to convert some old tapes of music from analog to digital form. When using audacity what would be the optimal sampling rate for file size and quality?

16 / 44.1 (bit rate / sample rate) is the standard for CDs.. Some sound cards can play other sample rates and most can play 24bit. But I would just stick with Cd quality.
