Hi,

Sadly, I just learned about isquint and it works great!

Being new to all of this, I understand the settings for videos to be played on an ipod.

But what is the best setting to convert a file so that it can be played on tv, dvd, etc?

For example:
I gather some videos from youtube (not necessarily from there).
Convert with isquint: settings: go nuts, optimize for tv.

Do I check H.264 encoding, or is that not necessary? Would the quality be better with H.264 for TV?

Then from there possibly use imovie or idvd, etc.

Thanks for your advice!
