Best settings for VM Ware gaming.

I have:

3.06 ghz Imac
4 GIGS 800mhz ram
8800 GS

I want to play games like portal, etc in full detail what are the best setting in vm ware (core and ram wise) to do so (or attempt to)?

Running something like Portal in a VM isn't the best idea even with a high end system. If you want to play Portal and other Valve games just wait a few more weeks when Steam for Mac comes out and play the native ports.

If you want to play high-end 3D Win* games, I would look into WINE and CrossOver Games instead of Virtual Machines.
