Hi,

Receiving my new iPhone 13 from work shortly and would like some advice on how to best set it up.

First things first, it will be MDM-managed with (I presume) full insight. Hence, I would like some help on how to best distinguish between work and personal life, without losing out (I don't want to carry two separate phones).

I will have two phone lines using the Dual Sim, one private and one work. This makes it easy to just switch off the work line during holidays. My only question is when it comes to Apple ID. Should I connect my personal Apple ID with the work phone? I don't want the employer to execute some MDM command resulting in loss of personal data (data or travel photos for example).

Two questions:

- Where would I lose out by not having the phone connected to my own Apple ID? I'm guessing no iCloud Photos, no iMessage, no synced "notes"?

- What are the risks by connecting it with my personal Apple ID? Can they also somehow get insight into my other personal devices?

Thanks!
