I know there lots of clear TPU cases on Amazon but I want something with a bit more grip. I don’t want a cover and it’ll be a bonus if it isn’t too bulky.

This will only cover the back of the iPad, which I find very slippery.

Get a package of inexpensive "craft foam" sheets (craft stores, Walmart, Amazon) and a roll of Scotch double-sided tape (the yellow label, very common). It's cheap, so you'll be able to practice at getting the result that looks the best, and I promise that it's totally reversible and if/when you pull off the craft foam, the tape comes with it, as the tape sticks to the foam more than the aluminum.
